Bill Conti - Lock-Up

This here is a soundtrack I have meant to post months ago, but I guess I was being lazy...

Anyway, Bill Conti, the composer for soundtracks to films like "Rocky," "The Next Karate Kid," and "Betrayed," creates some wonderful harmonic/electronic sounds to the 1989 movie, "Lock-Up," featuring good-ole' SLYYYYY (Sylvester Stallone).

As an added bonus, there are two additional score tracks from the movie that are found nowhere else...

Also, I have included a custom-made mp3 of Jimi Jamison's "Ever Since the World Began," the end-credit title song.

David McHugh - Three Fugitives

It is finally here, a soundtrack that I have requested in the past!

Here is David McHugh's - A perfect alternative for Maurice Jarre - original soundtrack to the 1989 movie, "Three Fugitives."

This particular score features some beautiful electronic synthetic sounds along with some jazzy drum sequences and a more-than-perfect opening title.

Additionally, this is a CD-quality rip, at a TASTY 320 Kbps bit rate!!!

So if you are into sounds of this nature, this is the soundtrack for you!

Eric Serra - Le Grand Bleu (a.k.a. "The Big Blue")

There are two different variants to the soundtrack to the soundtrack to "The Big Blue:"

First, we have the original version which is composed by Eric Serra ("La Femme Nikita" and "The 5th Element"), and then there is the U.S. edition composed by Bill Conti ("Rocky" and "Lock Up").

This is Serra's version, the complete edition, but I am willing to undergo a proposition:

If I can get enough or more comments by the end of next week, requesting that I post Bill Conti's edition, I will personally post it here.

Anyway, here is Eric Serra and his electronic work on the soundtrack to "Le Grand Bleu," which is commonly known as, "The Big Blue."

Various Artists - Best of the Best

Soundtracks to movies like "Bloodsport" and "Kickboxer" are interesting to me. Well, if you like those, you will definitely like this post.

Here is the soundtrack to "Best of the Best," an awesome/underrated 1989 Martial-Arts movie.

This soundtrack is a MUST if you are the type of person who either works out, exercises, or just want to hear a good AOR tune every now and then.

PS: IF ANYONE HAS THE SOUNDTRACK TO "BEST OF THE BEST 2," COULD YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW?

THANKS.

Harold Faltermeyer - The Running Man

Now we have a post that is DEFINITELY worth acquiring!

It is Harold Faltermeyer with another wonderful compilation of music from a movie featuring AHNOLLLLD Schwarzenegger.

This is the motion picture soundtrack to the movie, "The Running Man," and I must say that this is a beautiful soundtrack for its electronic rhythms and synthesizer sounds.

I do, however, have some minuses to this soundtrack: The original opening theme from the movie itself sounds nothing like the one from this soundtrack, and there is a few more songs in the movie that has not made that soundtrack as well, including "Restless Heart" (formally known as "Running Away with You") by John Parr.

But despite these minor infractions, this soundtrack is more than just a soundtrack...

It is a Harold Faltermeyer masterpiece.

Hans Zimmer - Drop Zone

I have returned from a brief hiatus, and ready to post again.

Here is the original expanded score to the 1994 movie, "Drop Zone," staring Westley Snipes.

Composed and conducted by the legendary Hans Zimmer, this soundtrack is sure to have your speakers blasting loud.

Well, sort of.....

Anyway, a fan of Hans Zimmer's music must grab this wonderful selection of music.

And just so you know, this is the "expanded" edition, which contains fourteen tracks and not the traditional standard eight tracks.

David Michael Frank - Hero and the Terror

I promised this post to a lot of people at Franklynot's wonderful "Filmscorium," after making a request for it. By the way, I would recommend that you check that blog out, for there are very nice and unselfish people who are willing to accept requests and/or chat with you.

Now, this is an "original" post due to the fact that my mother purchased this soundtrack for me. Here, right before your very eyes, lies the complete soundtrack to the 1988 movie, "Hero and the Terror," starring Mr. "Walker: Texas Ranger" himself, Chuck Norris.

Although I have not seen this movie yet, I did see what appears to be the ending fight scene between Chuck and some evil dude who slaughters women.

This soundtrack is from the actual disc, so you know it sounds good. However, the bit rate stands at 192 kbps. Other than that, David Michael Frank produces some high-quality, kick-ass underscore music from an underrated movie. There is a classical piece of music from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart entitled, "Angela," and a beautiful vocal track entitled, "Two Can be One," performed by Joe Pizzulo and Stephanie Reach.

All together, this soundtrack is a complete "MUST GRAB."

Harold Faltermeyer - Top Gun (Expanded Motion Score)

Harold Faltermeyer, the "Grandfather" of scores to such movies as "Kuffs," "Fletch," "Beverly Hills Cop," and "Thief of Hearts," is also responsible for the unreleased score to the movie, "Top Gun." If you have the original soundtrack with various artists, you would find one track from him which would be the theme to the movie, featuring Steve Stevens. If you have the special expanded edition soundtrack, you would find another track called "Memories."

But now, as a one-time post only, here is the expanded motion picture score to "Top Gun." This score features the original, yes ORIGINAL, "Top Gun" theme, the opening to the movie without the guitars by Steve Stevens and some other movie music as well.

Although this is the expanded score, it has come to my attention that there is another track or two that is missing and/or somewhere else. If anyone else knows about this additional information, let me know.

Other than that, enjoy Faltermeyer's exhilarating sounds from this extremely rare gem!

WARNING:
This is a once in a while post and will not be re-posted immediately among expiration. So if you you test the link and it is active, inform your friends and GRAB IT!

Alan Silvestri - The Delta Force

Ok, here is the "single" soundtrack to the 1986 action flick, "The Delta Force" staring Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin.

I call this soundtrack a "single" due to the fact that there is a rare, limited-edition and out-of-print Intrada signature release somewhere out there. It is basically a fancy way of saying that this "signature" edition is the complete soundtrack, with fourteen tracks rather than eight.

This post, however, is the standard eight-track soundtrack from a compilation disc, which features music from another movie.

Despite the number of tracks, this Alan Silvestri masterpiece contains some wonderful, highly energetic sounds, including the main title theme.

Personally, I think that the theme to this movie alone would make a killer national anthem. But since we can not have our way, I figure that sharing this soundtrack would have to do.

James Horner - Commando

WOO-HOO!!!

My first official post for a soundtrack to an AHHHHHNNNOOOOLD flick!

Ok, let me be serious, now.

Here is a movie I remember a few years ago called, "Commando," featuring AHHHNOLD (Arnold Schwarzenegger to be exact). His daughter is kidnapped and like any other 80's movie, he saves the day by rescuing her and beating the living s**t out of the bad guys.

The soundtrack to this movie is very intriguing to me. James Horner introduces an incredible orchestral underscore to the movie, making you want to watch it over again and again. Well, that, and Arnold doing his thing by taking out the bad guys.

There is also an actual vocal song called, "Somewhere, Somehow, Someone (We Fight for Love)," performed by the Power Station. This song is heard at the ending of the movie as the credits are rolling. I am sure that I am not the only one completely outraged about the fact that this song was never included in the soundtrack. But if I am, that is a different story.

If you try to find this rare song on places like "Limewire," all you will get is the version in which Arnold's voice is heard in the beginning, making it clear that this version is a DVD rip. However, this song can be acquired from a CD entitled, "The Power Station: 20th Anniversary Edition," which is basically a compilation disc of some of the Power Station's greatest hits. The best part is, it contains this song.

Now, I could tell you buy the CD on Amazon for a few bucks if you really like this song and group. But thanks to a good friend of mine, who already has this disc, I will include it in this soundtrack. This song, along with Horner's orcheastral sounds, will complete this soundtrack.

I have even included the lyrics for "Somewhere, Somehow, Someone (We Fight for Love)," and they should appear if you use "Windows Media Player" to listen to music.

Hans Zimmer - Days of Thunder

And now we continue with yet another wonderful soundtrack.

Here is the complete instrumental score to the 1990 NASCAR-inspired movie, "Days of Thunder," staring Tom Cruise, Robert Duvall and Nicole Kidman.

The man behind this score, Hans Zimmer to be exact, is also the father of many soundtracks to such movies as "Black Rain," "Crimson Tide," "The Rock," and one of my favorite Disney animated films, "The Lion King," which earned him an Academy Award for Best Original Motion Picture Score in 1995.

With an amazing compilation of guitar efforts, powerful drums and even some electronic sounds from Hans Zimmer, this instrumental score is sure to make you feel that you are behind the wheel of a race car.

Paul Hertzog & Various Artists - Bloodsport

This is the original soundtrack to the 1988 Martial-Arts film, "Bloodsport," staring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Sadly, I still have yet to see this movie, though I did see some bits and pieces of it on YouTube.

This soundtrack contains the complete score by Paul Hertzog and some vocal songs from such artists as Michael Bishop, Paul Delph and the man himself, Stan Bush. There is also a standard twelve-track release somewhere on the net, but I prefer to share the whole thing. You know, just to make it fair for my friends and many anonymous users out there.

If you love the movie, then you love the music as well.
